Five Things · December Goals

We are officially at the last month of 2017, and although you're going to hear this a million more times, I feel like this year flew by. I tried to set goals for myself every month to keep my growth on track this year, but some things don't quite go according to plan.

So, here we are, at the last month of the year, planning out what we're going to accomplish.

1. In the midst of the holiday season, make more lists. Keep gifts, finances, and goals organized. This is something I have already started this month with my notebook of lists, which sounds a little bit silly, but I feel a thousand times for productive if I can check things off as I complete them. It comes hand in hand with my anxiety about getting things done, which I don't think I have ever addressed on here, but I have a sort of anxiety when something is unfinished, whether it be a show, book, or piece that I am working on. I get sidetracked while working on a handful of things, that I believe making more lists will help me get things in order and wrap things up for the year.

2. Buying a DSLR camera has been something I have wanted to do for a long time, but the finances were never there. In 2018, I have a lot of big plans, and I would like to document them better with a camera that isn't on my phone. Plus, the digital camera that I use now is on it's last leg and I think it will be nice to start the new year with a better device.

3. After blogging on here for four years, I think it's time to find a concrete online platform. I would like to expand my blog to a portfolio with my writing, alongside a store to sell my crochet items. I've been doing some research on what would be the best website for me, and I am hoping by the end of the month to establish something permanent for myself. Turning twenty-four has been an eye-opener and brought along a quarter-life crisis, and I've been making some big life decisions, but one of the decisions made is that I'd like to establish a more dominant online community.

4. The holidays are quickly approaching, and I'm trying my best to have a stress-free holiday season. My goal is to get all of my gift shopping done early, and get everything wrapped so it's one less thing to worry about. I'd also like to spend more time doing holiday festivities. I have a few things planned already, and I don't want to let the stresses of retail or crowds get in the way because nothing that is temporary should ruin my chances at a profound holiday spirit.

5. December also brings the close of the year and the beginning of a new one, and with the new year right around the corner I want to set myself up for a successful new year. This may entail creating a mood board, setting up a planner, and definitely better time management on my part, but I have a lot of big plans and goals for 2018 that I can't wait to share with you all at the end of the month.

Here's to 31 days of Blogmas, Happy December. ๐ŸŽ„

  1. Omg, I totally relate with just desperately wanting a stress-free holiday season. I like how you worded "profound holiday spirit" because that's exactly what I'm going for too (and to just leave my over-thinking and over-planning nature to be honest.)
Lovely post! I just found your blog and would love if we can follow each other on Bloglovin maybe? Do let me know, have a nice weekend! <3
